Today we awoke early in the morning to sunlight streaming through the window of our hostel room for this week. After gathering together for breakfast, we quickly departed for Berlin central station. Following a short walk, a moderate search for our train platform, and an even shorter train ride, we arrived at Potsdamer Platz, the area we would spend our morning in. Our first location for the day was the Berlin spy museum, this museum covered the history of spy-craft from ancient Egypt to modern digital security, focusing, of course, on the Cold War. The museum exhibited spygear (hidden cameras and the ilk) as well as interactive exhibits displaying concepts in cryptology. After the museum we had lunch at the next door Italian restaurant. Finishing lunch, we split into international groups, some of us remaining in the area while other rushed to get onto our hop-on hop-off bus tour as the skies opened up. As one who was on the tour, I can speak for my self and say it was a very nice tour, second to its actual material, I found the delivery system of the tour very interesting as we plugged earbuds into consoles programmed to play in numerous different languages, to say nothing of the format, that being two characters discussing the landmarks we rode by. Getting off at the Brandenburg gate we took pictures before moving north to the Reichstag building, the center of German government, at least in modern history. After visiting the Reichstag we returned to the hostel for dinner, vespers, and the night.

Der zweite Tag in Berlin startete mit einem Suchspiel zu unserem richtigen Bahngleis. Im richtigen Zug angekommen, ging es zu Fuß zum Spy museum. Dabei sind wir auch „über“ die Berliner Stadtmauer gelaufen, naja eher da wo sie einmal stand.
Nach einer kurzen Führung durch das Museum haben wir uns noch selber umgeschaut. Wir haben unseren Namen in Morseschrift geschrieben, Fotos in Verkleidungen geknipst und unsere Spionage- und Turnfähigkeiten beim Laserraum unter Beweis gestellt.
Um unseren Hunger von den sportlichen Aktivitäten zu stillen, haben wir gemeinsam in einen italienischen Restaurant an einer langen Tafel zu Mittag gegessen. Danach haben wir uns in kleinere Gruppen aufgeteilt und sind erstmal shoppen gegangen! Die Mall in Berlin ist nicht nur super groß sondern auch super vielfältig bei den ganzen unterschiedlichen Stores!
Um unsere Zeit in der Stadt noch abzurunden hat jede Kleingruppe Tickets für eine hop on hop off tour mit einem Bus bekommen, wo wir Markante, historische und sehr sehenswerte Punkte sehen konnten. Wie jeden Abend gab es dann um 19Uhr Abendessen, gefolgt von der Vespertime und Nationstime.
Anschließend haben noch einige von uns im Essensaal Spiele gespielt und so den Abend ausklingen lassen.
